To say that we were thrilled when the Olympus TG-5 review sample arrived at our headquarters is an understatement. Ever since they briefed us on this new model on the phone just over a month ago we've been eagerly awaiting its arrival.
The reasons are two-fold: One is that we've very much enjoyed the TG line and its capabilities as a rugged imager, and the second is that the TG-5 sports a wealth of decidedly enthusiast features that really elevate it above the crowd. It has the first control dial on a rugged camera and useful new enthusiast-oriented modes like Pro Capture, which first made its way to photographers via the award-winning E-M1 Mark II.
And, of course, there is the move back to a 12mp sensor, which we found incredibly bold and refreshing. We've now completed our first Field Test with this new rugged enthusiast camera, so dive in for all the details!
